Santiago was proud of his  catch.The fish was a dream  come true for any fisherman....on the third day,the fish leaped.....the fisherman thronged on the shore to have a look at the unususl....
Critical assessment 
 The oldman and  the sea is curiously  interesting when one considers the nature and scope of characterisation in it. .....
Conclusion 
Hemingway 's short novel The old man and the sea  carries  elements  of  parable and allegory. The spirit of man and the force of nature,.....
